We've had several more weeks of math clubs and grant proposals but we did get an overnight at Kiboko Bay last Saturday. This is a perfect getaway spot for us as it's close by (thus minimizing the God awful matatu rides), our friend Rudi, the manager, always reserves the same room for us and gives us a great price, it's very peaceful and relaxing and the food and drinks are good..
This week the students have started their exams for the final term of the year. The Form Four (12th grade ) students are taking their final high school exams Today we said goodbye to many of the Form 4 Bishop Abiero girls. We are buying a cake for their last day and will have a get together with the ones who live nearby when we return in a month, All forty of them gave us their phone numbers (actually their parents). Only one of the forty has access to a computer and e-mail so staying in touch will be hard.
Tomorrow we leave for a month long trip to Victoria Falls, Namibia and South Africa. We are not taking computers so this blog will be in hiatus until we return.
