Krysna and Environs

Then it was on to see more of the lovely coast as our time in South Africa was too short. We drove to Krysna and stayed at a very friendly hostel for two nights. The owner's daughter gave us numerous great suggestions on what to see. The first day, we toured the area in and around Krysna including leisure Isle where we ate a picnic lunch and watched a brave lady swim (it was quite cold) and the Eastern Head which had some of the best views we have ever seen. We did a sunset cruise without a real sunset but with good views of other sights where we met a nice British couple. Afterward, w eate a fantastic dinner on the wharf-oysters, sardines, line fish on crazy skewers, mussels in thai sauce, cupcakes..
The next day we went further afield to the beach town of Plettenberg Bay and then to Storms River Mouth and Nature Valley in Tsitsikomma Park. On the way, we stopped at a wonderful farmer's market and of course, a winery.
We made our own dinner back at the hostel and sat on the porch and chatted until late with several young couples-one from Austria who are travelling for 6-12 months and an Italian couple who are cycling from Cape Town to Malindi in Kenya.

Before we left Wilderness, this guinea fowl was on our railing
